Ultimate Member knows your members. MailPoet sends your email. Without a bridge, new signups never reach a list, role upgrades leave segmentation stale, and profile fields stay invisible to campaigns.
MailPoet for Ultimate Member keeps subscribers in sync across registration, approval, role changes, profile updates, and account lifecycle events — so lists stay accurate without manual exports.
Opt-in at registration
Drop a native MailPoet field into any Ultimate Member registration form. Show a checkbox for a specific list, or auto-subscribe silently. Visible opt-ins also gate your global default lists: if a checkbox is shown and left unchecked, defaults are skipped while role, form, and rule lists still apply.
- Form builder field — Pick a MailPoet list, set the checkbox label, or enable auto-subscribe.
- Per-form lists — Assign lists on the form metabox that always apply for that registration form.
- Double opt-in — Optionally send MailPoet’s confirmation email for new subscriptions.
Role, field, and conditional sync
Map Ultimate Member roles to MailPoet lists so Free → Premium upgrades update subscriptions automatically. Map profile fields to MailPoet custom subscriber fields (cf_X). Add additive rules such as “country equals Thailand → Partners list” — rules only add lists, never remove them.
- Role → list matrix — Applied at registration, approval, and role changes; optionally unsubscribe from previous role lists.
- Profile field mapping — Sync country, job title, phone, and any UM meta into MailPoet on register and profile save.
- Conditional rules — Operators: equals, does not equal, contains, does not contain.
Account tab & lifecycle controls
Add a Subscriptions tab to the Ultimate Member account page. Only lists you whitelist appear — internal lists stay hidden. On delete or deactivate, choose unsubscribe, delete the MailPoet contact, or do nothing. A daily cron mirrors MailPoet global unsubscribes back into WordPress user meta for access rules.
Opt-in aware defaults. Global default lists are skipped when a visible registration checkbox is present and left unchecked. Role, per-form, and conditional rule lists still apply.
Bulk sync and admin visibility
Import every approved member in batches of 50 with a progress UI. Resync a single user from their profile screen. A MailPoet column on Users shows sync status, and the last 50 API errors are kept in an admin log for seven days.
